West Hartlepool is one of the most picturesque villages facing in the UK’s County Durham on the North Sea coastline. The town was I initially established as a shipping centre and linking sea traffic with inland centres of Manchester, Leeds and others. This set of seaside Victorian buildings greets visitors to what is now largely a tourist centre.

All of these watercolours are painted on envelopes from the early to mid 1960s.
