These are a flower from my childhood - these and chrysanthemums. One of my Uncles in Vancouver was a founding member of the Point Grey Chrysanthemum Society, and I remember their back garden in Kerrisdale was spectacular. The zinnias were beautiful and delicate, and they always look like such a hardy flower.
